Offer your work to God,
and trust His provision

A daily rhythm of prayer for the working day — to begin in God, labor with Him, and rest in His care. Bring your hopes for your business honestly before the Lord, then say, with peace, "Thy will be done."

"Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." — Matthew 6:33

Follow the Mass

Everything said and done at Mass

The whole Order of Mass, in order, with every response you make marked. What today asks for — the Gloria, the Creed, the preface, the colour — is taken from today's Ordo Colombiano.

Order of Mass — Roman Missal, third edition. Today's rubrics from the Ordo Colombiano (CEC).
The heart of it

Not "the universe." A Father who provides.

We do not summon outcomes by our own power, nor bend an impersonal force to our will. We do something far better: we ask a good Father, we work faithfully with the gifts He gave us, and we surrender the results to His perfect will. As St. Augustine taught, pray as though everything depends on God, and work as though everything depends on you. This is the freedom of a Christian — to labor diligently for your work at itsdavidg.co, while resting in the certainty that your Father already knows what you need.

🕊 Ask, and trust

Bring your real needs — clients, provision, peace — to God in prayer. He invites it. Then release the "how" and the "when" to Him.

"Ask, and it will be given to you." — Mt 7:7

⚒ Work as worship

Your daily labor, offered to God, becomes a prayer. Excellence and honesty in your business glorify Him and serve your neighbor.

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord." — Col 3:23

☀ Do not be anxious

Worry is a poor master and changes nothing. He feeds the birds and clothes the lilies; how much more will He care for you.

"Do not be anxious about tomorrow." — Mt 6:34
The daily rhythm

Your day, consecrated

Three moments of prayer to anchor your working day in God. Tap each as you pray it. Begin in His name, labor in His presence, and end in His peace.

Morning Offering

~12 min · before work

Give the first of your day to God, before the inbox and the noise. Offer all that is coming — every task, call and worry — to Him, so the whole day becomes a prayer.

The Sign of the Cross 1 minBegin reverently: "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen." Place yourself consciously in God's presence before anything else.
Pray the Morning Offering 2 minOffer your whole day — prayers, works, joys and sufferings — to Jesus through the Heart of Mary, in union with every Mass offered around the world today.
The Morning Offering"O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the intentions of the Holy Father. Bless the work of my hands this day, and may all I do be for Your glory. Amen."
Gratitude — three gifts 2 minThank God for three specific blessings (let one be about your work or provision). A thankful heart is the soil where trust grows. "Give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Thes 5:18).
Sit with today's Scripture 3 minRead today's verse (top of page) slowly, twice. Ask: "Lord, what are You saying to me through this today?" Then rest in it quietly. This is the heart of Lectio Divina — letting the Word read you.
Bring your petitions — then surrender 2 minName your needs plainly: a new client, the means to provide, wisdom for itsdavidg.co. Ask boldly, as a child asks a father. Then hand each one over: "Lord, I want this, but more than this I want Your will. Thy will be done."
A decade of the Rosary 2 minOne Our Father, ten Hail Marys, one Glory Be — meditating on a mystery of Christ's life. Entrust your day and your work to Our Lady, who brings every petition to her Son.

Bless the Meal

~30 sec · before eating

A short blessing before eating — for the food itself, for the hands that prepared it, and for all who labored to provide it.

Bless the MealPause and make the Sign of the Cross before eating — for the food, those who prepared it, and those who provided it. Do this before breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Blessing Before Meals"Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Bless, too, the hands that prepared this meal, and all who labored to provide it. Amen."

The Angelus & Midday Pause

~5 min · at noon

At the heart of the working day, Christians for centuries have paused to pray the Angelus — recalling that God humbled Himself to enter our ordinary world. Let it lift your eyes from the work back to the Lord of the work.

Pray the Angelus 2 minThe traditional noon prayer recalling the Incarnation, with three Hail Marys. A holy interruption in the middle of your labor.
The AngelusV. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary,R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary…V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord,R. Be it done unto me according to thy word. Hail Mary…V. And the Word was made flesh,R. And dwelt among us. Hail Mary…V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
Be still 1 minThree slow breaths in God's presence. "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). Release the morning's tension to Him; you are not carrying it alone.
Offer your afternoon's work 1 min"Lord, I offer You this afternoon's labor. Work through me." Then do the next faithful thing with excellence and integrity — your honest work itself is a prayer rising to Him.
A Hail Mary for one person 1 minPray a Hail Mary for a client, a prospect, or someone you'll meet today — that you may serve them well and God may be glorified through your work for them.

Evening Examen

~8 min · before sleep

St. Ignatius taught that the most important prayer of the day is the Examen — a gentle review of the day with God. End not in worry or scrolling, but in gratitude, honesty and trust, resting your work in His hands overnight.

1 · Place yourself in God's presence 1 minSign of the Cross. Ask the Holy Spirit for light to see the day truly, as God sees it.
2 · Review the day with gratitude 2 minWalk back through your day with God. Where did you see His hand — a grace, a small provision, an answered prayer, a good conversation? Thank Him for each.
3 · Examine your heart 2 minWhere did you act in love, faith and integrity? Where did you fall short — into fear, pride, or anxiety about money? Be honest and unafraid; this is a Father's mercy, not a judge's.
4 · Ask pardon, and grace 1 minMake a short Act of Contrition for the failings of the day. Ask for the grace to do better tomorrow. Receive His mercy — it is freely given.
An Act of Contrition
5 · Surrender tomorrow to Him 2 minHand tomorrow — its work, its uncertainties, its hopes for new clients and provision — entirely to God. Pray the Act of Trust, and fall asleep at peace in His care.
An Act of Trust & Surrender"O Jesus, I surrender myself to You; take care of everything. Father, I abandon myself into Your hands; do with me what You will. I trust You to provide all that I truly need, for You are a good Father. Into Your hands I commend my work, my worries, and my rest. Thy will be done. Amen."
Intercessors for your work

Entrust your labor to the saints

You are not asking alone. Heaven is full of friends who lived the holiness of honest work and who carry our petitions to Christ. Ask their intercession over your business and provision.

St. Joseph the Worker

Patron of workers & providers

"St. Joseph, who labored to provide for the Holy Family, teach me to work with diligence, honesty and joy. Provide for my needs and bless the work of my hands. Pray for me."

St. Cajetan

Patron of work & daily bread

"St. Cajetan, patron of those seeking work and provision, intercede for me. Obtain from God the daily bread, the clients, and the means I need to serve faithfully. Pray for me."

St. Matthew

Patron of finances & business

"St. Matthew, who left your table to follow Christ, pray that I may keep my business honest and my heart free, serving God and not mammon. Pray for me."

Three dispositions

How a Christian prospers

① Seek first the Kingdom

Put God before the result, every day. When He is first, everything else finds its right place — including your provision. The goal is holiness; abundance, when it comes, is a gift to be stewarded, not an idol to be chased.

② Pray and work

Faith is not passivity. Trust God completely — then pick up the phone, send the proposal, serve the client well. Grace works through your diligent effort, not instead of it.

③ Thy will be done

Hold your desires honestly but with open hands. Ask boldly; surrender freely. God's "no" or "not yet" is the answer of a Father who sees what you cannot. His will is your true good.

The prayers

The words of the daily rhythm, gathered here whenever you need them.

The Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
The Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the intentions of the Holy Father. Bless the work of my hands this day, and may all I do be for Your glory. Amen.
An Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins, because of Your just punishments, but most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen.
Prayer to St. Joseph the Worker
Glorious St. Joseph, model of all who labor, obtain for me the grace to work in a spirit of penance for the expiation of my many sins; to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations; to work with thankfulness and joy, for it is an honor to develop and use the gifts of God. Provide for my needs and the needs of those I love, and bless the work of my hands. Amen.
